The Mission of the Walnut Ridge Fire Department is to protect the lives and property of the citizens of Walnut Ridge with the professionalism and courtesy they deserve.
Welcome to the official website of the Walnut Rige, Arkansas Fire Department. The Walnut Ridge Fire Deparment is a combination paid/volunteer department serving a town of approximately 5000 residents. The department has three stations, threee pumper trucks, service trucks, a 100 foot ladder truck, a command vehicle, and Hazmat equipment.. Walnut Ridge is one of a few departments in this part of the state to have a fully equipped hazardous materials response team. The City of Walnut Ridge currently has an ISO Class 3 Fire Rating.
The Walnut Ridge Fire Department’s main protection are is the city limits of Walnut Ridge, College City and the Walnut Ridge Airport/Industrial Park. However we also respond to a rural fire district. It covers the area from the Randolph / Lawrence county line to the North, Hwy 63 to the South, Cash River on the East Side to the Sedgwick Fire District and to Lawrence County Road 403 on the West Side which also borders the Portia and Hoxie Fire Districts.
Fire Chief Frank Owens heads the Walnut Ridge Fire Department.
